The Trinity and The Egg Parable - Brought from my FB Notes... 30-05-2010

Sunday (30/05/2011) was late for church but then I didn't miss the important part of the mass. I met Ps. Jeff Hammond. He preached today in a funny cool way. The gospel of the Lord was answering a fundamental question that I have been doubting for so long.
Well to cut it short, He mentioned of going to Saudi. He met sheiks and discussed Christianity. He was questioned why do Christians believe in 3 Allah? His answered was no! Christians believe in one Allah. then they continued with mathematics.

The sheiks asked whether He believed in the Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit and this counts as 3.
He replied no, it is considered as one! His metaphor was an egg. Egg is one single thing. If you break an egg, it becomes 3 distinguished parts; Egg yolk, Egg white, and Egg skin. This metaphor means that though Christians believe in The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit; all of it are One!

So yeah this answered my Question! I have always hold that Jesus is the Son of God not GOD Himself!!! But then I missed the unity of the whole thing. just like an Egg. I can't say that the Yolk is not an egg, egg white is not an egg, nor does the shell. They are one and called as egg!

Then somehow I have thoughts of Fruits... Somehow it seemed like the vision of fruits was to tell everyone that beyond the egg terminology up there, fruits shows something more. so lets explain things in fruits.

Fruits has skins, meat, and seeds. All three of them are fruits but separated by their own functions.
1. Skin: protects the meat
2. Meat: So delicious and nutritional
3. Seed: be spread and grow more.

Its like saying that Father in heaven is protecting the meats (those who believe) who are so full of His Gospel and Blessings. then Seeds are like the act of every one of us to spread the news to those people who haven't heard or experience the love of the Lord. This spreading will then allow the seeds to grow and develop to be meats who are full of nutrition and flavor which then are protected by God.

God Bless,
